Herbert Ray Wright, 79 of Mannington, WV passed away, Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his residence.  He was born June 21, 1932 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late Lloyd and Goldie Rose Wright.

He is survived by his 6 children, Rodney Wright of Mannington, Rick Wright and wife Kathy of Mannington, Robert Wright and wife Samantha of Worthington, David Wright of Fairview, Betty Hagerman and husband Robert of Pennsboro, and Christine Wright of Mannington; grandchildren, Eric Buby, Tony Buby, Phillip Wright, Melissa Wright, Shasta Wright Pyles, Josh and Jessie Wright, Abagail Wright, Jeremy Hixenbaugh, Sharyn Wright and Wilda Wright; one great-grandson, Devin Wright; step-grandson, Greg Pyles; several nieces and nephews; 2 sisters, Betty Cain and husband Jim of Metz and Kathryn Wright of Fairmont.

In addition to his parents, Herbert was preceded in death by his wife, Wilda Jean Wright who passed on October 29, 2008, and a daughter, Ruth Ann Wright.

Herbert was employed at Fairmont General Hospital in the Maintenance Department.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

There will be no funeral home visitation.  At Mr. Wright’s request, cremation was chosen as his method of disposition.   A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be left for the family at mastersfuneralhomewv.com.
