
Jack Denzil "Butch" Higgins, 71, of Mannington, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Mon General Hospital. He was born Jan. 22, 1947 in Fairmont, a son of Jack L. Higgins and his wife Tot of Whetstone and the late Helen Hayes Higgins Vaughan.
Butch is survived by his son Jayson Higgins and his wife Trish of Anna, OH, two granddaughters, Ashlee and Delaney Higgins, two sisters, Cheryle and Larry Smith of Mannington, and Cheri and Duane Martin of Philippi, and his brother, Roger and Carol Higgins of Whetstone, one niece, Tracy Martin, three nephews, Jeremy Smith and Heath and Hovie Nestor, good friends, Jerry Sayer, Stanley Toothman, Dave Kerns and Delford Barker.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sally Nestor.
Butch was a graduate of Salem High School, Salem, OH. He was retired from RG Johnson in mining construction. He was a member of the Mannington Moose Lodge and the Mannington Elks Lodge. He enjoyed camping and riding his Harley.
Family and friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Greg Roth officiating. Burial will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
