
James Allen Cremeens, 92 of Farmington, WV passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Fairmont General Hospital. He was born March 24, 1918 at Marion County, WV a son of the late George and Martha Cremeens.
He is survived by his 4 children, Linda Hall and her husband Clarence, Jr. of Farmington, Robert Allen Cremeens and Amy Koon of Farmington, Karen “Joy” Foley and her husband John of Farmington and James Edward Cremeens of Farmington; grandchildren, Debbie Sabo and her husband John, David Coburn, John Allen Foley, Vicky King and her husband Kevin, Michael Hall, Kathy Hays, Jeff Cremeens, Jason Hall and his wife Angie and Karrie Eddy; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Sabo, Mikee Ann Hall, Allison and Christian Hall, Travis and William King, Courtney and Sydney Eddy, Rick Martin, Sean and Logan Hays and Justin O’Dell; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Ivamae Cremeens who died on September 27, 2006; one daughter and son-in-law, Judith Ann and Fred Coburn; 3 brothers, Carl, Charles and Harold Cremeens; 4 sisters, Hazel, Mary, Georgie and Annie.
James was a coal miner, having worked at several mines, retiring from Consol Loveridge Mine #22 with over 30 years of service. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping as well as woodworking.
Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 2-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor David Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Enterprise.
