James Butcho

James Emory Butcho, 88 of Rivesville, WV passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at his residence.  He was born on October 24, 1924 at Grays Landing, PA a son of the late Joe Butcho and Rose Mizack Butcho.

 

Jim is survived by his wife, Betty Anderson Fisher Butcho of Rivesville, WV; one son, Phil Butcho and wife Kim of Smithfield, PA; a daughter, Linda Collins and husband Chuck of Masontown, PA; a granddaughter, Maggie Collins of Masontown, PA; 3 grandsons, Phillip J. “PJ” Butcho and wife Erin of Hopwood, PA, Ryan Butcho of Morgantown, WV and Justin Butcho and wife Liz of Smithfield, PA; 2 great-grandchildren, Brooks Butcho and Reagan Butcho; 3 step-sons, Randy Fisher and wife Robin of Rivesville, WV, Donnie Fisher and wife Sandy of LaPlata, MD and Michael Fisher and wife Misti of Rivesville, WV; step-daughters, Kim Eddy and husband Fred of Fairview, WV and Pam Gray and husband Jeff of Mannington, WV; step-grandchildren, Amber Fisher, Hope and Lucas Sayle, Adriane and Matthew Martin, Michael and Carly Fisher, Kaitlyn Gray, Cody Lambert, and Cetera; step-great-grandchildren, Aryanna Martin, Elijah Sayle and Kenna; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Maggie Vannicola Butcho in 1985; four brothers, John Butcho, Gaza Butcho, Steve Butcho and Andy Butcho, and a sister, Margaret Vaslavsky.

 

Jim was a World War II Veteran having served in the United States Navy.  He was a retired coal miner from Dugense Light, Local #6310.  He enjoyed bowling everyday.  He was a member of the VFW, Post 6303 Greensboro, PA and the American Legion Post 499 in Point Marion, PA.

 

Family and Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 4-7:00 p.m.  Visitation will also be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Yoskovich Funeral Home in Carmichaels, PA from 10 – 12:00 p.m. The Rev. John M. Bauer will celebrate the Mass at 12:30 p.m. at the St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church in Carmichael, PA.  Interment at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro (Mapletown), Pa. with Military Honors by the Carmichaels Honor Guard composed of members of Cumberland American Legion Post 400 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mastersfuneralhomewv.com.
