James Joseph Efaw

James Joseph Efaw, 47 of Tulsa, Oklahoma and formerly of Mannington, WV passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born January 22, 1964 at Denver, Colorado a son of James “Woody” Efaw and his wife June and Tina Louise Obroslinski Efaw of Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, James is survived by his daughter, Crystal Dawn Efaw Parsons of Mannington; a sisters, Julie Jeremiah of Tulsa, OK; a niece and nephew, Ashley and Tyler McCarley of Tulsa, OK; Aunt Lisa Obroslinski of Colorado Springs, CO; uncles, Teddy Obroslinski of Montana, Donald Efaw and wife Edna Ruth of Mannington, Harold Efaw of Mannington and Randy Efaw and wife Linda of Mannington; aunts, Loretta Cave and husband Richard of Henderson, TN and Karen Marteney and husband Gary of Mannington; step-brother, Frank LaPointe and companion Vickie Dodd of Seven Pines, Mannington; several cousins.

James was preceded in death by his step-sister, Paula Jenkins.

James’ hobbies included riding motorcycles and working on his truck.  He graduated from North Marion High School with High Honors.  He was a dispatcher and truck driver for various companies.  He served in the United States Army for 8 years.

Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 10-12:00 P.M.  Funeral services will begin at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Doctor Michael P. Reese officiating.  Burial will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton, WV.  Full Military Honors will be conducted at the graveside by the Marion County Military Veterans Council Honor Guard and the United States Army Honor Guard.  Condolences may be left for the family at mastersfuneralhomewv.com.

I had the pleasure of knowing Jim for the past 5 years after meeting him at werner. He was a very generous person and I will truly miss him. He came to Lincoln a few years ago around the 4th and brought some fireworks for my kids. I don't know who had more fun, him or the kids. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in Peace Jim, I'm gonna miss you!

I worked w/Jim in Okla at the family dollar dc in Duncan. He had a great personality. Missed him after he left the family dollar account. RIP Jim! You whole family is in my prayers.
