James Thomas Roupe Jr., age 74 of Mannington, WV passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 at Fairmont Regional Medical Center. He was born June 7, 1952 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late James Thomas Roupe Sr. and Dola Opal LaVelle Roupe.
He is survived by his two children James Thomas Roupe III of Centerville, Indiana and Melinda Lee Fouse Morgan and her husband Ralph of Mannington, five grandchildren, Joshua John Fouse, Dale Morgan Fouse, Amber Dawn Wise, Sarah Hannah Davis and Isaac James Roupe, and eight great-grandchildren. James is also survived by his sister Nettie Falbo of Mannington and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by four siblings, Samuel Roupe, Dick Roupe, Bill Roupe and Gloria Tennant, and his girlfriend Shirley Slider.
James loved to hunt and fish and he was also a part of the Spelunking Society as he enjoyed going cave exploring.
There will be a visitation at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 10:00am to 1:00pm with burial to follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
