James William Rotunda

James William Rotunda, age 81, of Mannington, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 at his residence. He was born October 31, 1938, in Shinnston, WV a son of the late Anthony “Tony” Rotunda and Rose Kaska Rotunda.

James is survived by his two sons, James William Rotunda Jr. and wife Robin of Fairmont and John Anthony Rotunda of Mannington; two brothers, Bob Rotunda and Sue Weikel of Philadelphia, PA and John Rotunda and Cathy of Fairmont; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Twila Lea Rotunda who died Dec. 13, 1996; two brothers, Anthony “BoBo” Rotunda and Gary Rotunda; and a sister, Julie Wells.

James was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Moose and Elks Lodges in Mannington. He worked for the UMWA Consolidated Coal Co. having retired from Loveridge #22. He enjoyed watching television and movies. He was big WVU Mountaineer and Pittsburgh Pirate fan.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 2-8:00pm as well as Friday, November 15 from 9-11:00am. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. Jim and I were classmates at Shinnston High School class of 1956. I always looked forward to seeing him at the class reunions and talking about our time in High School. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
