John Gregory Rawson, age 59 of Fairmont, WV passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born September 15, 1960 in Weirton, WV a son of the late Gerald Rawson and Doris Bell Rawson. John is survived by a niece, Rebecca Hall and her husband Bobby of Rachel, WV, and a nephew, James Patrick Ashcraft of Fairmont, WV, and a great-niece Shyla Allen and her husband Brandon of Mannington. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ellen McCann and Nancy Rawson, and two brothers, Larry and Jerry Rawson. John worked at Lowes and Ponderosa Restaurant. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in the 1970s. He was a Christian by Faith. He enjoyed fishing, visiting with friends and family. He also enjoyed watching movies. There will be no public visitation or funeral services as cremation was chosen as the final method of disposition.
