June Janet Bonnell Glover, 80 of Mannington, WV passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 at her residence. She was born September 3, 1930 at White Oak, Marion County, WV a daughter of the late Samuel and Martha Ellen Burdine Smith.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Dee Bonnell of Mannington, WV; four step-children, Judy Toothman, Bob Glover, Jeff Glover and Greg Glover all of Plum Run, Mannington, WV; three grandsons, Andy Bonnell of Smithfield, WV, Matt Bonnell of Morgantown, WV and Luke Bonnell of Mannington, WV and one great granddaughter, Starley Bonnell of Mannington, WV. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs Hazel (Otis) Anderson of Fairmont, WV and Betty Naoum of Pensacola, FL and one brother, Harold (Donna) Smith of Springfield, Missouri. Being one of twelve children, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her first husband, Lida Bonnell and her second husband Russell Glover; an infant grandson, Scott Lee Bonnell; six brothers, Robert, Ray, Rex, Bay, Charlie and Dean Smith and two sisters Ruby Cundiff and Leatha Smith.
June retired from Owens-Illinois in Fairmont with 22 years of service. She was a faithful member of the Pricetown Church of Christ and the Mannington Church of Christ. She enjoyed singing and was a wonderful singer.
Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 2-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at the Huey-Thorne Cemetery.
