Karen Ann Martin, 69 of Cadiz, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at her home following a brief illness. She was born April 16, 1941 in Stringtown, WV a daughter of the late James and Agnes Fisher.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Burt Martin; sons, Scott (Janel) Martin of Smithfield, PA, Brian (Sarah) Martin of Coleman, OH; daughter, Rebecca Martin of Smithfield, PA; sister, Peggy Adams of Salem, WV; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Karen was baptized in the Little Bingamon Church and was a 1959 graduate of Mannington High School in Mannington, WV. She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisville, OH and worked for sixteen years at McGraw’s Nursing Home.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by a brother.
Family and Friends will be received of Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisville, OH from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with a funeral service taking place at 8:30 p.m. with Reverend Barry Hall and cousin Charles Fisher officiating. Visitation will also take place on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Covenant Presbyterian Church at 49325 State Route 250, Harrisville, Ohio 43974 be made in Karen’s name.
