Prayers to Bev, Kenny and Tim during this time. Your Mom was such a beautiful person inside and out. I remember sitting in church at such a young age and when she walk in would light up the room. Such a great personality and beautiful smile. Always gave me a hug kiss me on the forehead. Then became my Sunday school teacher. God got a beautiful angel but we all lost one. RIP fly high you have your wings now.
So sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers. She was a sweet and special person 💕
Beverly:
I am so sorry that you lost your Mom. I remember all the time I went home with you and your family after church. Your Mom was so sweet. My thoughts are with you.
Sorry for your loss, may you treasure all your loving memories.
I was shocked when I found out of her passing on to Heaven. I know she was thrilled to see Dale and her Jesus. I’m sorry for your loss to Bev, Kenny and Timmy and many family members. She was a sweet Christian lady who taught us as teens to be ladies. With some of us it was a hard job for me example. lol She was not only my teacher but a prayer partner many times we would pray together how I was touched that she would pray with me . Every time I seen Mrs Kate I had to stop and talk even I was short on time. She was such a blessing to me and I know others too. Her life is and was precious as I think of the verse in the Bible “more than rubies” she was worth this . Prayers and big hugs to all of you’s , she will be missed .
To the Shearer family:
Kate was one of my favorite Mannington people. I'm 86 years old now and have know Kate for over 70 years. She always had a warm smile and kind words to say. She was truly a wonderful lady and will be surely missed by all who knew her.
P.S. Wish I could have been able to attend the wake, but I had laser eye surgery today and unable to travel.
Kate was a great Christian lady! Prayers to all the family.
Dear Shearer Family,
I just got a call from Penny Haught (February 20 at 6:30 PM) to tell me the "GOOD NEWS" about Miss Kate! I was just thinking about her this week. The Lord brought her to my mind and when I heard of her "home going" I thought of the hymn we sing so often, "Finally Home!"
We stayed in contact at least once a year... often she called me on my birthday and she always reminded me that she prays for me he and Dolly. HOW PRECIOUS AND HOW MOVING! I thought... "who will take her place?"
Her and Dale were truly "the salt of the earth" and they were always so kind and loving toward us! During our 6 years at Calvary Baptist we shed tears together... had some great laughs together... broke bread together (she was a great cook)... went on visitation together,,, and enjoyed every minute we spent together. It was a joy to be their pastor and pastor's wife. We cherished their love toward us (thinking of them like our "WV Mom & Dad!"
I loved his blue Monte Carlo and told him that when he traded I was going to buy it! :)
Be assured of our prayers for all of you during this time. Remember she is with her Lord and Savior and would not want to be back here! By now she has found Dale and they are enjoying the sights of glory together!
We love you dearly,
Pastor Rick & Miss Dolly
