
Latife Mae Rohanna Linville, age 93 of Mannington, WV gained her wings on Monday, April 27, 2020. She passed peacefully at her niece’s home surrounded by her family. She was born November 20, 1926 to the late Elias “Zig Zag” Rohanna and Agnes Satterfield Rohanna. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 56 years, Paul Earnest Linville, who died on February 26, 2003.
She is survived by her three daughters, Joyce Glover of Atlanta, GA, Colleen (Larry) Sine of Mannington, WV, and Linda (Terry) Hendershot of Camden, OH; her brother, Nassif Rohanna of Mannington, WV; four grandchildren, Alison Glover (James) Crozier of St. Augustine, FL, Amy Sine (DJ) Cosco of Monongah, WV, Dustin Sine of Mannington, WV and Terry Jack (Megan) Hendershot of Dayton, OH; four great-grandchildren, Carter, Jonathan and Eli Sine and Domenick Cosco.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two nieces, Patty Lynn Rohanna Pollack and Wanda Lee Stetz Lemley; her sister, Warda Rohanna Stetz, and a sister-in-law, Betty Masters Rohanna.
Mrs. Linville was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mannington for 93 years. She was active in the Ladies Alter Society and was famous for her homemade salad dressing. She participated in many activities at her church, served meals to the needy, and was a regular at the Mannington Senior Center. She also served on the Mannington All Class Reunion for her class of 1946. She loved walking at Hough Park with her dog, watching the ballgames, enjoyed gardening and socializing with everyone.
A Special Thanks to her nieces, Wilma and Carol, for taking Mom on fun day trips and to her grandson’s wedding in Ohio. We also want to thank Theresa and Frank Witt at Theresa’s Rose Garden for the excellent care given to Mom in the past year.
There will be no public viewings or services due to the COVID-19 situation. A private visitation and graveside service will be held at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV at the convenience of the family with Father Vincy Illeckal officiating.
