Linda Darlene Hibbs Mays, age 70, of Rachel, WV passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born July 7, 1948 in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late Wilbert “Rudy” Hibbs and Vivian Izora Wells Hibbs.
Linda is survived by two sons, Charles Mays and fiancé Jenni Crim of Rachel, and Ronald and Shawna Mays Sr. of Rachel; three step-children, Larry and Patty Mays of Morgantown, John and Shiela Mays of Millersburg, OH, and Connie and JR Supple of Millersburg, OH; grandchildren, Gillian and Faith Mays, Ronnie Mays II, Gracie Mays, Sierra Mays, Victoria Hinerman, Chelsea Mays, Ashton Mays, Joshua Mays, Letha Devine, Robin Davis, Renee Robinson, Rochelle Robinson, Lacey Mays and Tyler Mays; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sue and William “Butch” Porter of Rachel and a brother, Randall Hibbs of Akron, OH; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband Harold Thomas “Crook” Mays Sr. who died on February 20, 2008; a son, Harold Thomas Mays II and a brother, Larry R. Hibbs.
Linda was a Trustee at the Mannington Elks Lodge and Marion Co. Senior Citizens. She was a housewife and a mother. She attended the Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles and traveling.
Family and friends will be received at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 2-8:00pm with the Mannington Elks conducting a memorial service at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in the funeral home beginning at 11:00am with Randy Efaw officiating. Burial will follow at the Viewpoint Cemetery.
