Linda Jean Rogers, age 61 of Mannington, WV whose life was cut short on June 5, 2024 after a short battle with cancer departed her family on earth to join the angels in Heaven. She was born December 26, 1962 at Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph R. Baker and Edna J. Stevens Baker. She was married to the late Gary Rogers who preceded her in death in 2009.

Linda leaves behind five children and their families to cherish her memory, John (Honietia Morgan) Rogers and daughters Jadeiah and Jaylani of Beltsville, MD, Velvie N. Rogers (fiancée James Williams) and son Aren of Mannington, Brandon P. Rogers and sons Jaxon and Gannon and daughter Madelyn and Aubree of Morgantown, Jessica N. (Patrick) Riley and daughters Hope, Bailey and Debra of Salisbury, NC and Adam Rogers of Mannington. Also surviving is her sister Nancy Baker of Fairmont, 2 brothers, Larry R. (Patricia) Baker and their five children and grandchildren of Rymer, Joseph “Leroy” Baker of Sistersville, WV and his 4 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 3 aunts, Helen Uiselt of Wadesworth, OH, Norma Stevens of Pleasant Valley, WV and Sharon Stevens of Mannington, 2 special friends Kim Porter and Bobby Dye. Thank You both for being there for her. She considered them family.

Linda was a graduate of North Marion High School and was a school bus driver for the Marion County Board of Education with twelve years of service, mostly in the North Marion area. The family would like to thank WVU Hospice for the care given to Linda in her final few days.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV from 10:00am-1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00 with Pastor Brian Marteney officiating. Burial will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.

I was a friend of Linda's at Mannington High School. I still have very fond memories of her. It sounds like she had a wonderful life. I am so sorry it wasn't longer. May the memories be a blessing to you all.

So sorry to learn of the passing of Linda. She was a wonderful and caring person who will be missed by many. She was a wonderful neighbor to our daughter and her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Linda was my bus driver, and even though it was only a short period of time, she gained all the respect from me. i loved Linda like I had known her my whole life. Rest In Peace Linda, we got this from here.
