Linda M. Smith, age 69, of Farmington, WV passed away on Monday May 25, 2020, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, with her loving family at her side, holding her hand. She was born on July 18, 1950 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Charles W. Mays and Norma Jean Mullenax.
Linda is survived by her husband and best friend of 45 years, Charles “Bud” Smith; her two sons, Jason Smith and his wife Cathy of Morgantown, and Matthew Smith of Farmington; her grandson, Austin Smith of Hubbard, Ohio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob and Cheryl Smith of Mannington, Dave and Carol Smith of Mannington, and Gary Smith and his companion Suzie of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews and her favorite dog “Pebbles”.
Linda was a graduate of Farmington High School class of 1968, and worked for Decorators Industry. Linda was known for talent in providing home cooked meals and baked goods for many people. Mom was famous for her vegetable soup and homemade pepperoni rolls. She gladly shared these with all of Marion County and surrounding counties. Mom had many “adopted” kids throughout her children’s high school lives and beyond. Linda was a Christian by Faith, and a very strong prayer warrior. She was also a member of the Mannington Elks Lodge #388.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff of Mon General Hospital, Marion County Rescue Squad and Grant Town EMS for the love and support, and the care that was provided by them for Mom.
