Louise D. Riggs, 89 of Mannington, WV passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown.  She was born January 29, 1923 in Coburn, WV, a daughter of the late Alta Mae Gump and Richard Benson Gump.

She is survived by her three daughters, Alta and Harold Efaw, Juanita and Franklin Dallas Rinehart, and Janet and Robert Fluharty, all of Mannington; nine grandchildren, Charles and Gladys Riggs of Metz, Frank Rinehart, Jeff and Dina Rinehart, Rick and Holly Rinehart, Joe and Donna Rinehart, Kim and Don Sides, all of Mannington, Shawn and Micki Fluharty, Brian and Stephanie Fluharty of Shepherdstown, WV; one step-grandson, Chris and Heather Efaw of Mannington; 10 great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and five step-great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Six of Ohio, Shirley Davis of North Carolina and Katherine Snider of Mannington; one brother, John Gump of Coburn.

Mrs. Riggs was preceded in death by her husband, Ora “Dutch” Riggs on June 3, 1971; 10 brothers and sisters, Laura Gardner, Gerald Gump, Charles Gump, Ray Gump, Imogene Culprit, Roberta Long, Mary Yoho, Billy Gump, Madeline Hayes and Bobby Gump; one son, Charles “Mose” Riggs of Mannington and one great-granddaughter, Michelle Nacole Riggs of Metz.

Mrs. Riggs was a member of the Evergreen Methodist Church and owned and operated, along with her husband, the Ashland Service Station in Mannington for many years.  She enjoyed country music, especially Alan Jackson and Josh Turner.  She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, a WVU Football fan and loved watching them on TV.  She also loved listening to the North Marion Husky Football games on the radio.  She enjoyed her flowers and most importantly, spending time with her family and grandchildren.  She was also proud to be the official Grandma of the Mannington Fire Department.  Everyone was always welcome in her home, to either eat or to visit, and her door was always open.

The family would like to Thank Dr. Doug Wolfe and staff for the wonderful care their mother received throughout the years, as well as the Marion County Rescue Squad, Dr. Torres and nursing staff of Ruby Memorial Hospital, and the numerous caregivers past and present for their love and affection.

Family and Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 1-9:00 P.M.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the funeral home with Pastor Greg Roth officiating.  Burial will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery in Mannington.  Pall bearers will be Chuck Riggs, Frank Rinehart, Jeff Rinehart, Rick Rinehart, Joe Rinehart, Shawn Fluharty, Brian Fluharty, Kim Sides, Chris Efaw and Brandon Riggs.  On-line condolences may be left for the family at www.mastersfuneralhomewv.com
