Marion A. Baker, age 84, of Mannington, WV passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born on January 11, 1935 in States Fork, Metz, WV, a son of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth Swain Baker. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Baker; a son, David Higginbotham and Anna Scott; four daughters, Elizabeth Prichard, Holly Robbins, Tammy Barker and Terry Jones, and Loretta and Jim Fury; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Marion was predeceased in death by two brothers and 2 sisters; a son and a daughter and a step-son and 2 grandchildren.
Marion enjoyed tinkering around his building and building things. He loved to watch old Westerns on TV.

Family and friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 5-9:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 11:00am with Burl Lowther officiating. Burial will follow at the Baker Cemetery in Metz. I'm sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man. I enjoyed coming to his house when I was younger cause we would go out to the garden and pull green onions and eat them. He will be missed. Love you uncle marion. From your redheaded niece.
