Mary Rose Barker Gump, age 68 of Fairmont, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at her residence. She was born June 3, 1958 in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late McCoy Barker and Mabel Wright Barker.
She is survived by her three children; Mickey Jay Gump of Mannington, Pamela Ellen (Jeremy) Duckworth of Four States, and Jessica Rose (Joshua) Yoho of Mannington; the father of her three children, Ronald Gump, her grandchildren; Abigail Thompson, Adrianna Gump, Austin Gump, Alexandra Duckworth, Dillon Duckworth, Setareh Gump and Autumn Damico, and several great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her brother Delford (Joyce) Barker of Rachel, WV, her sister Mona (Eddy Glover) Anderson of Mannington, her uncle Harry Wright, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by five siblings; Anita Barker, Everett Barker, William “Bill” Barker, Coy “Possum” Barker and Alma Barker, and her grandson Andy Gump.
Mary loved to crochet and do various crafts. She also loved to garden and spend time with the kids, all of whom she loved very much!
There will be on funeral home services as direct cremation has been chosen as the final method of disposition. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington has been placed in care of the final arrangements.
