Matthew Patrick “Matt” Elliott, age 49 of Mannington, West Virginia passed away Thursday, October 29, 2026 at his residence. He was born March 6, 1977 in Fairmont, WV, a son of Rhonda Elliott of Mannington.
He is survived by his two children, Collin (Hannah) Elliott, and Sophia Elliott (and her mother Amanda Williams). Matt was also survived by three sisters, Erin Dunigan, Meghan Murray and Kelly Shelton; a nephew Morgan Nicholas; his aunts and uncles, Donna Jo, Jody (Jessie), Debbie (Ronnie), Brenda (Chet), Joe Pat, and Bryan (Shari), several cousins, a step-son Gage Carpenter, special friends Michelle and Gary, and his grandfather Spencer Angel.
Matt was preceded in death by his grandfather Don “Apaw” Elliott and his grandmother Jo’an “Mam” Angel.
Matt worked as an Electrician but he loved being in the woods and spending time with his son going fishing. He also loved “squabbling” with his mother! But the love and apple of his eye were his two children, Collin and Sophia.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Friday, November 6, 2026 from 10:00am to 1:00pm with funeral services beginning in the funeral home at 1:00pm with Evangelist Craig Matheny officiating. Interment will follow at the Mannington Cemetery.
