Rebecca, sorry for your loss. My father(Lawrence Heldreth) over the years would visit your father on the farm, spoke of your father as his friend, many times over the years and as being a good man. You and I attended school together so many years ago, never thinking of this time in our lives (loss of our parent)(s) Praying for you and your family.

I had the honor of knowing Melvin for several years. First as a patient of Dr. Fred Higginbotham's when I worked there and in later life as an in home care giver for the Senior Center. Melvin always had a smile and a good word every time I saw him.
My condolences to his family and friends.

So sorry to hear of Melvin's passing. Met Melvin after Dad moved back to Mannington in late 1960. Remember a fall hay wagon ride on the Gooch Farm for our Church youth. Melvin was a wonderful person & big part of Mannington Community along with Madeline and family. Prayers for the family. Melvin will certainly be missed.
