Nellie Virginia Riggs Kendall, 91 of Warrior Fork, Mannington, WV passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Tygart Center in Fairmont, WV. She was born March 26, 1920 at Pricetown, WV a daughter of the late Lester Bruce and Sarah Hillberry Riggs.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Blaine H. Kendall of Warrior Fork, Mannington, WV; a brother and sister-in-law, Lester "Junior" and Suzie Riggs of Mannington; a sister, Dollie Riggs, formerly of Warrior Fork, Mannington and now a resident of the Tygart Center in Fairmont; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her son, Alan Kendall on June 27, 2010; five brothers, Lorn, Bill, Sam, Jack and Ora "Dutch" Riggs and one sister, Inez Floyd.
Nellie was a homemaker who enjoyed life very much. She was a member of the Deep Valley Church of Christ.
Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Evangelist Leroy Burdine officiating. Burial will follow at the Snodgrass-Kendall Cemetery.
