
Neva R. Brewer, age 94 of Mannington, WV passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at Tygart Center in Fairmont. She was born April 15, 1927 in Smithfield, WV, a daughter of the late Thomas and Edna Copenhaven Anderson.
In addition to her parents, Neva was preceded in death by four brothers, Don Anderson, Franklin “Jack” Anderson, William Anderson and Robert Anderson, and four sisters, Geraldine Carson, Elizabeth Starkey, Carolyn Martin, and Paula Rose Anderson.
Neva is survived by two sons, Terry (Wanda) Brewer of Massillon, OH, and Kevin (Glenda) Brewer of Mannington, and one daughter, Vickie (Terry) Starsick of Mannington; three brothers, Joe (Carolyn) Anderson of Chatsworth, GA, Jim (Helen) Anderson of Burgettstown, PA, and John (Patty) Anderson of Weirton, WV; four grandsons and two great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Neva was a graduate of Smithfield High School, Class of 1945. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #1054 and also the Mannington Elks Lodge #388. Her hobbies included cooking big dinners for family, crocheting, and doing word searches. She enjoyed her flowers on the porch in the summer time as well as spending time with her family.
The family would like to give special Thanks to Genesis Tygart Center and the entire staff for their compassion, care and love for their mother.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 2-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Bill Coon officiating. Interment will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. I'm so very sorry to have heard of Neva's passing. She was a very kind lady and I enjoyed talking with her and her friendship many years ago. May God bless you with comfort and peace during this most difficult time. My sincere condolences and deepest sympathy for all the family.
