Norma Jean Cyphers Guy, 72 of Mannington, WV passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at her residence. She was born July 26, 1940 in Mannington, WV, a daughter of the late Mack Cyphers and Daisy Jane Hendershot Cyphers.
She is survived by her three children, Karl Edward Guy and wife Amber of Mannington, Thomas Christopher Higgins of Wheeling and Robin Eggert of Aurora, IL; 23 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; one step-brother, Jerry “Petesie” Moorehead and wife Patty of Mannington; one sister, Mildred Sullivan of Millington, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband John Cameron Guy who passed on September 30, 1997; one daughter, Deadria Survett; 2 step-brothers, Tom Moorehead and Charelie Moorehead.
Norma was a great caregiver and was a very religious person. She enjoyed puzzles and loved her grandchildren and her pets. She attended the Mannington Church of Christ and the Dent’s Run Baptist Church.
At the request of Norma, cremation was chosen as her final disposition. There will be no funeral home visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family. On-line condolences may be left for the family at mastersfuneralhomewv.com.
