Opal Grace Cross Bobbert, 91 of Metz, WV passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Tygart Center in Fairmont.  She was born March 9, 1919 at Mannington, WV a daughter of the late Eli Spencer and Rosa May Leasure Villers.

She is survived by one daughter, Juanita Pyles of Metz, WV; one son Raymond Cross and wife Patty of Volant, PA; two brothers, Grover Thomas Villers and wife Doris of Metz, James Villers and wife Margaret of Washington, PA; two sisters, Edna Thomas of Metz, WV and Erma Prather and husband James of Metz, WV; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her first husband, Everett Cross and her second husband, William Bobbert; two brothers, Charles and Ray Villers; one sister, Ethel Anderson; two grandsons, Richard Lee Pyles, Jr. and Raymond Cross, Jr., and one great-grandson, Shane Napalo.

Opal was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy at Metz for over 70 years where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and song leader.  She flew with the White Angel Fleet distributing literature for the church.  She was known for her homemade bread, pies and noodles.

Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 2-9 P.M.  Mrs. Bobbert will lie in state at the Church of God of Prophecy at Metz, WV on Monday, May 17, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. the time of the funeral service with Pastor Stan Lambert officiating.  Burial will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
