Patricia Jo Higginbotham, age 77 of Whetstone, Mannington, WV passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at her residence. She was born October 29, 1944 at Farmington, WV, a daughter of the late Lawrence O. Haught and Amy R. Fisher Haught.
She is survived by her three children, Jeff (Jennifer) Higginbotham of Rachel, Lori Higgins and significant other Anthony Douglas of Buckhannon, and Lisa (Rodney) Wright of Little Whetstone; seven grandchildren, Courtney (Andy) Malcolm, Emily (Matt) McCoy, Trisha (Jacob) Henry, Samantha Higginbotham, Ashley Higginbotham, Lauren Higginbotham, and Rusty Parrish; five great-grandchildren, Bayleigh Malcolm, Carter Higginbotham, Elijah Henry, Eric Hunter Malcolm, and Waylon Higginbotham; four sisters, Betty Cayton, Judy Singleton, Nettie Merrill, and Terry Freeland; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Richard Eugene Higginbotham; two brothers, Bill Haught and Mackey Haught; two sisters, Dorothy Haught and Shirley Spencer; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lester and June Higginbotham; a brother-in-law, Ronald Higginbotham; and a nephew, Tim Ash.
Patricia loved her dog Maggie May! She enjoyed watching religious shows on TV, especially Jimmy Swaggert. She was lifelong member of the West Farmington United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed going on long walks. She took great pride in being a homemaker for her family.
Direct cremation has been chosen as the final method of disposition. A memorial service will be announced at a later date with inurnment taking place at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
