Phyllis C. Moore, 94 of Mannington, WV passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Fitzwater Personal Care Home. She was born November 5, 1915 at Brink Community, Mannington, WV, a daughter of the late Gordon Nelson and Anna Myrtle Snodgrass Cunningham.

She is survived by 2 nephews and their spouses, Tom and Laura Cunningham of Jupiter, Florida and Mark and Julie Cunningham of Rockville, Maryland; one niece and her spouse, Ellen and Howard Wight of West Palm Beach, Florida; 4 grand-nephews, Eric Cunningham of Rockville, Maryland, Robert and Charles Wight of West Palm Beach, Florida and Andrew Cunningham of Jupiter, Florida; one grand-niece, Julia Cunningham of Rockville, Maryland; one cousin, Lucille Fidler of Shinnston, WV. Also, many other cousins survive.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Beryl Moore (died April 30, 1986), one brother, Everette Cunningham (died July 27, 2003) and one sister-in-law, Eugenia Cunningham (died January 12, 2005).

Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Mannington High School and Fairmont State College. She taught at different schools in Marion County for 43 years. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Augusta #6 of Mannington and Golden Rod #87 in Farmington. She was a Methodist by faith. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #40, Friends of the Mannington Library, West Augusta Historical Society, and Forks of the Buffalo Genealogical Society.

Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Edgell officiating. Burial will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
