Ralph Eugene Gorbey, 65 of Seven Pines community, Mannington, WV passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 at his residence. He was born November 17, 1944 at Baxter, WV a son of the late John and Emma Woods Gorbey.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Louise Foster Gorbey; seven children, Michael Eugene Gorbey of Mannington, WV, Elizabeth Louise Hale of Baxter, Ernest Eugene Gorbey and Michelle Louis Curfman both of Fairview, WV, Evelyn Hooper of Virginia, Frankie Eugene Gorbey Indiana and Michael Stevenson Gorbey of Charleston, WV; twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill and Sally Gorbey of Mannington, WV, Jim and Joanne Gorbey of Boston, MA and Charles and Catherine Gorbey of Morgantown; two sisters, Opal Gorbey Price of Wadestown, WV and Nell Gorbey Smith of Fairview.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by one son, Ralph Elsworth Gorbey; five siblings, John Edward Gorbey. Raymond Gorbey, Helen Brooks, Pat Gorbey and an infant sister, Hilder Gorbey.
Mr. Gorbey enjoyed working on his farm and raising animals.
Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Monday, May 24, 2010 from 2-9 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Reverend Randy Vincent officiating. Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Enterprise.
