Reverend Donald Waymond McDougal, age 91 of Wallace, WV passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 at United Hospital in Bridgeport. He was born November 22, 1931 in Big Elk, WV a son of the late Durward McDougal and Zana Duncan McDougal.
He is survived by three sons, Donald (Ada Ramsey) McDougal of Shinnston, Okey (Jennifer) McDougal of Idamay and Charles McDougal of Clarksburg, his daughter Chastity (Howard) Jones of Mannington, five grandchildren, Edward (Kaitlin) Jones of Mannington, Howard Jones of Mannington, Chastity (Earl) Derby of Mannington, Zachariah McDougal of Clarksburg and Alexander McDougal of Idamay, and two great-grandchildren, Lily Derby and Madalyn Jones, both of Mannington.
Donald was a Pastor for 74 years having also worked at Mousers Supply for 46 years in Enterprise. He enjoyed playing the guitar, spending time with family, reading the Bible and spreading the gospel!
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Lowe McDougal with whom he married in 1971, an infant daughter Nancy McDougal, two brothers, Ardest McDougal and Paul Duncan, and one sister Twila Hayhurst.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 2-4:00pm and 5-7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in the funeral home beginning at 11:00am with Reverend Harry Holbert officiating. Interment will follow at Robinson Cemetery on Big Elk.
