Richard Lee “Ipp” Glover, age 86 of Flaggy Meadow, Mannington, WV passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at United Hospital Center. He was born February 14, 1935 in Mannington, WV, a son of the late Walter Glover and Audra Jane Moore Glover.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Elizabeth “Libby” Metz Glover of Mannington; a son, Roger Lee Glover of Mannington; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Glover of Mannington; 5 grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Glover, Christy (Mitch) Richardson, Garrett (Tim) Glover, Andrew Glover and Shannon Glover; 4 great-grandchildren, Delaney Glover, Reese and Evan Richardson, and Natalie Daniel; 5 step-children, Cheri (Mike) Hays, Tonya (Larry) Lodge, James “Bo” (Amy) Metz, Joni (John) Latocha, and Jami (Dan) Trowbridge; 13 step-grandchildren, Dusty Hays, Daran Hays, Derek Lodge, Justin Lodge, Aubrey Metz, Claire Metz, Deacon Metz, Chelsi Latocha, Abby Latocha, Quint Latocha, Taylor Garrison, Luke Trowbridge, and Carly Trowbridge; 5 step-great-grandchildren, Brady Hays, Amelia Hays, Landree Hays, Lauren Lodge, and Waylon Garrison; one sister, Betty Lou Roberty of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ipp was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Kay Yoho Glover who died May 4, 1996; one son, Richard Allen Glover; a brother, Walter (Donald) Glover; and a sister, Freda (Pooch) Murtaugh.
Ipp was employed and retired from the former Eureka Pipeline Company having worked from November 5, 1956 to his retirement September 10, 1993. He was a Methodist by Faith and was a Christian. Ipp had a heart of gold and was a very good man! He attended every activity he could supporting North Marion Athletics. He was known as the “Sidewalk Superintendent” traveling around town in his golf cart.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 2-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, February 25, 2021 beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Greg Roth officiating. Interment will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
