Richard Ray Parrish, 62 of Fairmont, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, June 15, 2026 with his wife, Edith Parrish, whom he made his home with for 26 years, four years of marriage, by his side. He was born May 25, 1964 to the late James E. and Ethel Glover Parrish.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his son, Joshua Parrish and his daughter April Parrish, three step-children, Rebecca Heflin, Justin Ross Gilmore and Devin Williams. He is also survived by one brother, William Parrish of Morgantown, four sisters, Linda Parrish, Debra Pierson and Shirley Carpenter, all of Mannington and Charlotte Henderson of Virginia. Richard is also survived by his grandchildren who loved him very much, Caden, Sophie, Christopher, Layton Parrish, Nevaeh Collins, Patrick Heflin II, Surab Heflin and Jayvion Gilmore, his ex-wife, Cheryl Fluharty Parrish, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Carpenter, his sister-in-law Paula Parrish, brothers-in-law, Gary Carpenter and Floyd Pierson.
There will be no services as Richard’s wish was for cremation. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington has been placed in care of the final arrangements.
