
Rickie Allen Marks, age 73 of Shinnston, WV passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at his residence. He was born October 9, 1951 in Ohio, a son of the late Harry Marks and Anna Marie Edwards Marks.
He is survived by two sons, Rickie (Angie Fitzwater) Marks Jr., of Clarksburg and Ryan A. (Amy) Marks of Shinnston, two daughters, Drucilla Shaw of Lumberport and Renay Marks of Fairmont, 10 grandchildren, Corey (Tosh), Cody (Kourtney), Lindsay (Dylan), Dustin (Camylle), Emma, Darren (Nellie), Lean (Chase), Lydia (James), Amelia, Shyan (Seth), and Madysen (Joey), and 6 great-grandchildren, Kleigh, Theo, Bristol, Bailey, Bowen and Brynlee. Rickie is also survived by his siblings, Delmas (Mary) Marks of Buckhannon, Judy (George) Miller of Shinnston, Lyvonne (Frank) Cunningham of Bridgeport, Francis (Ed) Flowers of Bridgeport, Louise Marks of Shinnston, Clyde Marks of Clarksburg, and Timmy Marks of Barbour Co., and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rickie was preceded in death by his wife Debra Marks, two brothers, Lloyd Marks and Roylee Marks, his sister Patty June, his grandson Trey Higginbotham, his father-in-law Ed Leggett, and his brother-in-law Ralph Leggett.
Rickie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and digging ginseng, ramps and mushrooms. He also enjoyed riding ATVs and motorcycles. In his early years, Rickie worked in strip-mines, and then as a mechanic at Jerry’s Automotive in Clarksburg. He loved spending time with his family!
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 9:30am to 12:00pm with funeral services beginning at 12:00om with Pastor Scott Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Robinson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
