Robert Earl Fluharty Sr., age 84 of Farmington, WV passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at his residence. He was born November 2, 1935 at Farmington, WV a son of the late Lloyd Earl Fluharty and Hazel Opal Toothman Fluharty.

Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Louise Dent Fluharty; three children, Robert Earl Fluharty Jr. of Farmington, Robin Kay (Kennard) Godfrey of Farmington, and Sheila Louise Fluharty of Farmington; 4 grandchildren, Eric Godfrey and fiancé Theresa Myers, Robert Eugene (Laytoya) VanFosson, William Keith (Lara) VanFosson, and Tabitha Sue (Michael) Waggy; 8 great-grandchildren, Alexis Michelle VanFosson, Isabella Grace Waggy, Aiden Keith Vincent, Maiya Faith Waggy, Katie Nicole Riffe, Chloe Wren VanFosson, Caleb Robert VanFosson, and Tyler Russell Lee Shepard; one brother, Richard Fluharty; three sisters, Helen Long, Edna Pyles, and Shirley Osborne; a sister-in-law, Susie Fluharty; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Sue Fluharty; a grandson, Lloyd Godfrey; two sisters, Leola Powell and Thelma (Jim) Guthrie; and two brothers, Raymond Fluharty and Calvin Fluharty.

Bob retired from EIMCO with 35 years of service as a fabricator. He was raised and attended Bethel United Methodist Church on Dunkard Mill. He enjoyed hunting and farming.

Bob’s request was for no visitation or funeral services as cremation was his choice for final disposition. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington has been placed in care of his final arrangements. I have so many fond memories of Bob, Midge and all of the "kids". Growing up on Dunkard Mill was indeed a plus for all of us. The closeness we had has carried through into our adult life. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you honor one very special life.
