Bobby was my instructor at Naval Gunnery School, Great Lakes in 1970. We became long time friends. I visited him in Sasebo Japan, he visited me in Dahgren Va. We stayed in contact until I retired from the Navy. I even had teh joy of getting Bobby and Jim Smith, two Shipmates from Naval Magazine, Kinegasa, Japan, reunited. Bobby was the consummate professional who helped anyone who would, help themselves. I held Chief Garcia in the highest esteme. He was my mentor and my friend! Thanks Shipmate! You are missed.
