Robert “Bob” Hibbs, age 90, of Mannington, WV passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at The Arbors in Fairmont. He was born June 30, 1928 at Flaggy Meadow in Mannington, WV, a son of the late Ellis and Reva Hamilton Hibbs.

Bob is survived by a sister, Charlotte Ann Jones of Mannington; nephews and nieces, John Kerr, Janice and Kurt Ryan, Richard and Robin Jones, Lance Jones, Terry Ash, Sherry and John Bonnette, Sharon Sokolosky, Charlie and Susan Schrader, Steve and Robin Garrett, Jeff Schrader, JJ and Denise Pugh, and Lea Michelle Lake; several great-nephews and nieces, Theresa and Chris ten-Haff, Lisa and Ryan Sledge, Bridget Ryan, Kelsey Ash, Eric Jones, Caitlin Bonnette, Zane Maditz, Zane Bonnette, and Zach Maditz; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean Hibbs who died in Sept. 2017; a brother, Joseph Hibbs, two sisters, Thelma Louise Hibbs and Harriet Jane Kerr; 2 brothers-in-law, John Kerr and Richard Jones; 2 nephews, James Kerr and Mark Ash; and a niece, Margaret Jones.

Bob was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. He worked at Owens/Corning in Fairmont till it closed and the Marion County Board of Education. He enjoyed being a life-long farmer. He was a member of the Flaggy Meadow Baptist Church having served as an elder. His pride and joy was spending time with his nieces and nephews and great- and great-great-nieces and nephews as his family was very important to him. He always put God first and then family and farming.

The family would like to thank Fairmont Health and Rehabilitation for their great care of Bob.

Family and friends will be received at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 4-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in the funeral home beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Larry Watson officiating. Burial will follow at the Hamilton Cemetery on Flaggy Meadow. Bob was such a great guy, I remember dad going and helping Mr Bob with his farm equipment. He loved all us Postlethwait kids. You will be sadly missed. Prayers of comfort and peace to your family from ours💔😔🙏
