Robert Ray Farley, Sr., age 80 of Rachel, WV passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Tygart Center Nursing Home in Fairmont. He was born February 19, 1941 at Fairmont, WV a son of the late Walter Hyde Farley and Mary Katherine Webb Farley.
He is survived by two children, Robert “Bobby” (Alisa) Farley Jr. of Fairmont, WV and Lucretia Ann Rapsawich of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Christopher “Crockett” (Laura) Rapsawich of Cleveland, OH, Brandi (Shaun) McCoy of Fairmont, WV, and Taylor (Spencer) McDougal of Junction City, KS; 5 great-grandchildren, Olivia Rapsawich, Hailey Rapsawich, Lylah Grey McCoy, Demi Rae McDougal and Benjamin Rapsawich; 5 siblings, Ed (Beulah) Farley of Amherst, OH, Chuck (Norma) Farley of Palm Coast, FL, Rick (Pat) Farley of Lorain, OH, Barbara Wasley of Oklahoma, and Judy Patrick and companion Mike Barfoot of Palm Coast, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his former wife Maryann Hardy Farley; a sister, Betty Schwing; and a brother, John Farley.
Robert worked for and retired from UMWA #31 Joann Mine in Rachel with 20 years of service. He was the president of the Rachel PSD and was a member of the Mannington Elks Lodge. #388. He enjoyed working at Jerry Efaws Feed after retirement.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 3:30-8:00pm with an Elks Lodge memorial service beginning at 7:00pm. Per the request of Robert, cremation was chosen of the final method of disposition.

So saddened to learn of Bob's passing. When North Marion first opened he, Mitch Napalo, my dad, and I would travel all over the state to watch them play basketball. Always a fun time with Bob around.
