Robert Lee Snider, 88 of Fairdale, WV passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010 at his residence. He was born September 9, 1921 at Rymer Community, Mannington, WV a son of the late Wesley and Vera Glover Snider.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Straight Snider, two sons Robert Lee Snider Jr. and his wife Kathy of Mannington, Dennis L. Snider and wife Donna of Arnett, WV, two grandsons, Wesley Snider of Kuwait and Dennis L. Snider, Jr. of Arnett, WV, a great granddaughter, Zoie Snider, two step granddaughters, Angela Avebedo and Amanda Ammons, three step great grandchildren, Miguel, Caden and Alexis Avebedo and a brother, Billy Joe Snider and wife Catherine of Mannington, WV.
Mr. Snider was a US Army Veteran of World War II. In 1948 he moved to Beckley, WV where he was employed and retired from Hope Gas Company. He was a member of the Pineville Masonic Lodge and Beni Kedem Shrine Temple.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Bill Coon officiating. Arrangements by Masters Funeral Home in Mannington.
