Ronald Dale Higgins, Jr. 23, of Fairmont, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born August 10, 1994 at Fairmont, a son of Ronald Dale Higgins, Sr. and wife Tracy, of Rachel and Virginia Marie Hall of Fairmont.
He is also survived by his fiancée, Nicole Marie Roberts of Fairmont, his sister, Kasey Marie Roberts and fiancée Brian Jones of Fairmont, one niece, Lakelynn Marie Scritchfield of Fairmont, maternal grandparents Donna and William Prickett of Fairmont,
paternal grandmother Jessie Louise Higgins of Rachel, several aunts and uncles and 2 special friends, Okey Bevlin and Jonathan.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Harry Dale Higgins and his maternal grandfather Robert Lee Hall.
Ronnie enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, hunting, fishing and playing video games. He was an avid animal lover and his many pets included his fish “Dead Pool”, 2 bearded dragons “Abraham Lincoln Roberts” and “Xena Rose Roberts”, his rabbit “Butterscotch Dale Roberts”, 2 rats “Annabelle Marie Roberts” and “ MoMo Renae Roberts” 2 cats “ Hogan Raymond Roberts” and “Penelope Renae Roberts” and 2 dogs “Dixie Marie Roberts” and “ Missy Rose Roberts”.
Ronnie enjoyed spending time with hie fiancée Nicole. He was employeed at Walmart and attended Calvery Baptist Church, Mannington. He was a very loving, caring and compassionate person and was nice to everyone.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 11:00 –1:00 with funeral services beginning at 1:00 with Pastor Lee Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at the Viewpoint Cemetery.

We are so sorry to hear about Ronnie. We watched Ronnie and Kasey grow to adulthood next door to us and they were good kids. We all will miss him.

I was a good friend of Ron’s I about a year ago moved out of state and lost contact with a lot of friends Ron was one of my best friends in high school I saw him here and there and I miss him greatly I know he is in a better place and isn’t suffering anymore I hope you see this brother and to his family my condolences for your loss Ron helped me out a lot in high school he was one of my best friends we had metals class together he was awesome he would help me out when I didn’t understand something and vice verse when he wouldn’t and I would he will always be missed but never forgotten buddy I’m sorry I hope to see you soon at the gates the crew is gonna regroup back upstairs again one day
