Ronald Robert Masters, age 84 of Mannington, WV passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in Weston at Stonewall Jackson Hospital. He was born January 9, 1939 in Marion County, WV a son of the late Fred Paul Masters and Virginia Blanche Currey Masters.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alice Ann DeNetso Masters, four daughters, Virginia (Jerry) Hayes of Mannington, Rhonda Masters and significant other Neil Rice of Metz, Charlene (John) Myers of Mannington, and Holly (Jody) Lynch of Mannington, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one son-in-law, Claude Satterfield of Fairmont, one brother Fred (Ann) Masters of Virginia, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his daughter Paula Satterfield, and a sister, Ramona Kennedy.

Ronald was a United States Veteran having served in both the Air Force and the Army. He worked for and retired from Alcan with 30 years of service. He loved woodworking and electronics but his grandchildren were his most important hobby.

There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral services as direct cremation was Ronald’s choice for final disposition. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington has been placed in care of the final arrangements.

Ron was such a wonderful childhood friend. We practically lived next door. Although I have not seen him in many many years, I will never forget him and his family for the good times we shared. To his family, please be comforted knowing that many will be sharing your grief.
