Rosalie Straight, 85, of Mannington, and formerly of Metz, WV passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at St. Barbara’s Memorial Nursing Home in Monongah. She was born May 31, 1941 in Metz, a daughter of the late Oakle and Georgia Ornduff Delaney.
Rosalie is survived by her children, Joseph H. Gilbert of Metz, Brenda L. (Paul) Amos of Metz and Jason (Cathy) Straight of Metz, seven grandchildren, Maralie (Daniel) Kuneff of Fairmont, Randi Gilbert of Fairmont, Josh Amos of Morgantown, Aaron (Sarah) Amos of Fairmont, Madison Straight of Parkersburg, Cadence Straight of Metz, Aubrey Straight of Metz, one brother, Kenneth (Linda) Delaney of Colorado, and three step-children, Linda Harker, Vickie Sigley and Steve Straight.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Straight, Jr., and five brothers, Delbert, Jack, Leo, Charles and William Arthur Delaney.
Rosalie grew up and spent most of her life in Metz, then moved to Mannington in her later years. She worked at Westinghouse (Phillips Lighting) with more than 30 years of service. She retired from Patton Cleaning Services, cleaning the Mollohan Building in Fairmont. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Mannington for more than 40 years. She enjoyed her gardening and flowers and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 2-7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 1:00pm with Pastor Josh Carlyle officiating. Burial will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
