Russell Lee “Rusty” Garner, age 59, of Mannington, WV, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 5, 2018. He was born June 1, 1959 in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Lloyd Kenneth Garner and Patricia Ann Minor Garner.
He is survived by two brothers, Ken and Barbara Garner of Clendenin, WV and Eric and Janet Garner of Mannington; several nieces and nephews, Heather Poole, Jason, Angela and Brittany Garner, Erica and Ian Laughlin, Faith Prince, Kimberlee Stevens, and Jessica Prince; great-nieces and nephews, Paul and Josh Prince, Zachary, Bella and Sophia Laughlin, Angelica and James Poole, Ryan, Tyler, Brianna and Preston Garner, Peyton Murdock, Jansen Stevens, Kyra Stevens, and Kelby Stevens; and his good friends and buddies at the OP Shop.
In addition to his parents, Rusty was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Price. Rusty enjoyed bowling and loved times at the cabin. He loved shopping.
Visitation will be held at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 1-2:00pm. The casket will remain closed during the visitation. Private graveside services will be held for the family with Pastor Jason Sleeth officiating. Burial will be at the Cunningham Memorial Gardens in Burton. Will forever miss my “ole buddy’s” smile. Thinking of him will always make me smile. His laugh was infectious as his face lit up with joy. My sincere sympathy to all those who love this very special man.
