Sally Wright

Sally Ann Wright, age 77 of Mannington, WV passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born April 26, 1943 in Marion County, WV a daughter of the late Harry Elmer Harker and Minnie Pearl Merrifield Harker.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert Ray “Bob” Wright of Mannington; two daughters, Teresa (Jason) Basnett of Worthington and Athalia “Peaches” ( Edward) Brown of Burton, WV; four grandchildren, Lacy Wright of Fairview, David (Jessica) Wright of Mannington, Reed Basnett of Worthington, and Amber (Tylan) Livengood of Mannington; 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Harker of Moundsville, and Ernie (Linda) Harker of Wadestown; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by one son, JR Wright; one sister, Martha Hartley; and two brothers, William Harker and Leonard “Bud” Harker.

Sally was a Baptist by Faith. She was homemaker and she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

There will be no public visitation or funeral services as private services will be held for the family at their convenience. For those attending the services, as we continue to recognize attending services during the Covid-19 situation may not be in the best interest for some, please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
