Shirley Ann Dye

   Shirley Ann Dye, age 79, of Fairmont, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born December 31, 1940 at Farmington, a daughter of the late Norman “Bud” Willard and Lola Heinz Willard.

   Shirley is survived by her daughter, Diana Ashley of Oakland, MD, her son James Dye and significant other Tracy Rush of Grant Town, 5 grandchildren, Cheyenne Myers, James Robert Dye, Shawn Rush, John “JJ” Rush, Taneka Rush, 6 great-grandchildren, Zyla Myers, Carson Myers, Roman Myers, Bryleigh Burner, Shawn Rush Jr, Colton Rush, a sister Patricia Wood of Fairmont and a brother Norman Gene Willard, Wright City, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.

   In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Butch Willard.

   Shirley worked as a cashier at Shop-N-Save in Mannington. She enjoyed reading, watching TV, working crossword puzzles and listening to music.

   Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 2-8 pm and Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 9 am-12:45pm. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. As we continue to recognize attending services during the COVID-19 situation may not be in the best interest of some, please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. Shirley was an amazing women. She was so happy and funny. I loved how she would joke with us when we took care of her. I always tried to make her laugh and take her mind off transfers or anything that might be bothering her. She is going to light up heaven with her spirit. I will miss her greatly!
