Shirley May McDougal, age 65 of Mannington, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at her residence. She was born August 16, 1954 in Fairmont, WV, the daughter of the late Okey Edward Lowe and Cybil Faye Fisher Lowe.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 47 years, Donald Waymon McDougal of Big Elk, WV; 4 children, Donald Wesley McDougal and Ada Nicole Ramsey of Cunningham Run, Okey Buel McDougal and wife Jennifer Ann of Idamay, Chasity Jane Jones and husband Howard of Hawks Nest, and Charles Robert McDougal of Clarksburg; 5 grandchildren; a companion James Golden Jones; and an uncle, Clifford Lowe of Akron, OH. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy McDougal; a brother, Samuel Lowe; a sister, Brenda Lowe; and several aunts and uncles.
Shirley enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends and watching television.
Family and friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 2-4:00pm and 5-7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at the Robinson Cemetery in Big Elk. In lieu of flowers and at the request of the family, financial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
