Thomas James “Tom” King, age 69 of Mannington, WV passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Fairmont Regional Hospital. He was born December 4, 1956 in Owosso, Michigan a son of the late Gene Paul King and Mary Pauline Richardson King.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cindy Metz King of Mannington, his two sons, Thomas James King of Mannington and Jason King of Mannington, and his sister Deann Franklin of Gray, TN.
Tom graduated from Mannington High School Class of 1974 and served in the United States Army from 1974-1978. He was employed at Michael’s Machine Shop for many years. Tom enjoyed going fishing, watching Sci-Fi, and loved riding motorcycles. He was a member of the Fairmont Dual Sport Club and Fairmont Bike Club. He was also a great mechanic and enjoyed working on 4-wheelers.
There will be a visitation at Masters Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7th, 2026 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with Full Military Rites accorded by the Marion County Honor Guard in the funeral home parking lot immediately following the visitation. Cremation was Tom’s choice for final disposition.
