Along with his parents, Tom was preceded in death by brothers Stanley, Jack, Sam and Joe; and sisters, Mary Leezer, Katy Starsick, Cecelia Ashcraft and Maggie Martin.

To the family of Tom:
My deepest sympathy in the loss of your loved one. John I am so sorry that Tom will no longer be with you in his earthly body, but his spirit will be with you. May the happy memories you shared be with you always.
May the Lord be with you and keep you.
Carol (Yost) Godby
To Tom's family
I was so very sorry to read of Tom's passing. Tom was a wonderful person and classmate. He will be missed by all of the members of the Class of 1954. May God be with all of you during this difficult time.
Every time I would see my Uncle Tommy it would strike me so violently how much he looked like my own Father. Sometimes it was difficult to have a conversation with him because of that and that is my own moral failing.
My Uncle Tommy was a talented, creative person, and a kind and good human being -- very giving and very caring. I admired those qualities.
In closing, my belief is 1 Corinthians 15:55 -- "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?"
As Tommy Starsick lived unto the Lord, so shall he rest in the Lord.
My fondest memory of Uncle Tommy was when he visited the house, lugging in a large movie projector (the first I had ever seen) with films of his travels and many entertaining stories that he told with boundless enthusiasm and great charm. Although he was a technician by trade, he had the heart of an artist, as evidenced by his love of photography, and his documentation of personal memories. These memories left an indelible imprint on the life of his community. We feel a keen sense of loss in his passing.
To the Starsick family Uncle Tom as I knew him through the Martin family for many years. He was a wonderful guy and will always be remembered by me for his love of photography and the fact he loved telling stories about where he went to get pictures. But I am sorry for your loss as he is now in heaven where he is not suffering anymore. May God be with you all on this day and the days following today..
