Tot Higgins, age 94 of Whetstone, Mannington, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born November 20, 1925 in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Fred and Dolly Allen Boling.
Tot is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jack Higgins of Whetstone, Mannington, her children, Mike Zickafoose of Bristol, TN, David (Beatrice) Zickafoose of Rosmond, CA,Doug (Carol) Zickafoose of Oak Hill, WV, Jill Sisk and fiancee’ Tom of Danese, WV, Tim (Nancy) Zickafoose of Fairmont, Greg Zickafoose of Beckley, WV, Cheryl (Larry) Smith of Mannington, Roger (Carol) Higgins of Whetstone, Mannington, Sheri (Duane) Martin of Vally Furnace, WV, brother Horatio Boling of Vancouver, WA, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Tot was preceded in death by sons Mark Zickafoose and Jack “Butch” Higgins, brother Harry and sisters Hazel, Audrey, Woodsa and Mildred.
Tot enjoyed spending time at the river. She was a great cook and seamtress. She loved bird watching, enjoyed gardening and reading her Bible. Tot loved spending time with her family and was a very compassionate woman.
Family and friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington WV on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 10-11 am with funeral services beginning at 11:00 at the funeral home with Steve Grimm officiating.
