
William F. “Bill” Iddings, age 83 of Mannington, WV passed peacefully at his home on Monday, February 15, 2021. He was born November 28, 1937 in Noble County, Indiana, a son of the late Robert and Mary Christleb Iddings.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Wanda Mae, who passed July 1, 2014; two brothers, Byron and Donald; and four sisters, Wanda, Peg, Sandra and Lois.
He is survived by one sister, Linda Dilly of Indiana; a daughter and son-in-law who was his care-givers, Tina and Bill Gump of Mannington, Anina (Jodie) Iddings of Jacksonville, FL, and Paul and Michelle Iddings of Jacksonville, FL; four granddaughters, Jessica Gump, Amanda Coniglio and companion Jeremy Farr, Mary Iddings and Avery Iddings, all of Jacksonville, FL; one great-grandson, Easton Farr; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was retired from CONSOL Blacksville #2 with 25 years of service. He loved spending time with family, listening to music, watching TV, rocking in his rocking chair and front porch swing. He was a farmer, milkman, sold vacuums, worked at Kraft Foods, and lastly was a coalminer. While raising his kids, they were always camping, taking Sunday drives, traveling to Indiana, going fishing, and just always spending time together. In his later years, he loved watching birds out his window, flowers being planted and growing, and talking with his grandchildren. His favorite television shows was Dr. Phil, Naked and Afraid and Ridiculousness.
There will be no public visitation at the funeral home. A small public graveside service will be held at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, February 19, 2021 beginning 12:30pm at the cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Sorry for your family’s loss. He was such a wonderful person. I remember when we were little we didn’t know his name but we called him Mr. Nice Guy. He always seemed happy. God bless you all.
He was fabulous. Such a bull headed lovable man. He loved sitting and watching everyone at dialysis. Never forgot those sweet treats of winter green lifesavers. Tina and Bill I miss you both. The officers all members of Local Union 1702 of the United Mine Workers of America offer our heartfelt condolences to the family of Bill. I personally worked with Bill in the mines many years ago. He was one of the friendliest and hardworking miner I knew. His memory will live on! Rest in peace brother!
