William “Earl” Leasure Jr., age 73 of Farmington, WV, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 at his residence. He was born January 19, 1953 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late William Earl Leasure Sr. and Shirley Ann McDougal Leasure Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Truman Leasure, his three children, Jonathan Leasure of Fairmont, Lorri Kave of Morgantown and Bethany Eakin of Carolina, 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Earl is also survived by his step-sons Scott (Kendra) Longwell of Fairmont and Steven (Rebekah) Longwell of Farmington, his brother Rob (Cheryl) Leasure of Farmington and his sister Sue (Jeff) Hyde of Mannington, and several nieces and nephews.
Earl was a 1971 graduate of Farmington High School who was employed by the UMWA Consolidated Coal Company #1 in Blacksville retiring with 35 years. He was a member of Trinity Assembly of God in Fairmont where he served in Puppet Ministry there as well as at Noah’s Ark Assembly of God. Earl was also a photographer who he enjoyed going hunting and fishing and he thoroughly enjoyed going to yard sales! Earl would always help anyone that asked him for his help! He was one of the Lord’s Servants, a good father, grandfather and husband and his goal was to live a good Christian life.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026 from 2-4:00pm and 6-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026 beginning at 11:00amwith Pastor Skip Vincent officiating. Interment will follow at the Leasure Cemetery on Grays Run.

I remember him from my childhood and teenage years when we would go to West Virginia to visit family. Always fun to get together with him and the McDougal family. Lots of fun memories! A great guy that will be missed by many. Prayers for hos famil.
