William “Earl” Leasure Jr., age 73 of Farmington, WV, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 at his residence. He was born January 19, 1953 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late William Earl Leasure Sr. and Shirley Ann McDougal Leasure Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Truman Leasure, his three children, Jonathan Leasure of Fairmont, Lorri Kave of Morgantown and Bethany Eakin of Carolina, 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Earl is also survived by his step-sons Scott (Kendra) Longwell of Fairmont and Steven (Rebekah) Longwell of Farmington, his brother Rob (Cheryl) Leasure of Farmington and his sister Sue (Jeff) Hyde of Mannington, and several nieces and nephews.
Earl was a 1971 graduate of Farmington High School who was employed by the UMWA Consolidated Coal Company #1 in Blacksville retiring with 35 years. He was a member of Trinity Assembly of God in Fairmont where he served in Puppet Ministry there as well as at Noah’s Ark Assembly of God. Earl was also a photographer who he enjoyed going hunting and fishing and he thoroughly enjoyed going to yard sales! Earl would always help anyone that asked him for his help! He was one of the Lord’s Servants, a good father, grandfather and husband and his goal was to live a good Christian life.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026 from 2-4:00pm and 6-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026 beginning at 11:00amwith Pastor Skip Vincent officiating. Interment will follow at the Leasure Cemetery on Grays Run.

I remember him from my childhood and teenage years when we would go to West Virginia to visit family. Always fun to get together with him and the McDougal family. Lots of fun memories! A great guy that will be missed by many. Prayers for hos famil.

Earl was a wonderful cousin and friend. I loved getting the pictures he shared on Face book. I know that Earl loved Jesus Christ. Why God called Earl to his heavenly home at this time, only God has the answer, but there is an another “Child of the Eternal King” now at his Father’s Home. Jim and I will miss seeing Earl when we visit West Virginia, but the next time we see him it will be for eternity.
The greatest comfort other than the love and thoughtfulness of family and friends during this difficult time is that Earl was right with god he was a great and wonderful person and will be sorely mossed
I went to high school with Earl and also attend Trinity Assembly of God. I always enjoyed chatting with him on Sunday mornings. We all have our time on this Earth until we are called to heaven ….. he is rejoicing with Jesus now and those who have gone before him. Sending loving prayers of comfort to his wife, brother and sister and the extended family and friends that were fortunate enough to have known him. RIP Earl.

Earl was as close friend and co-leader with me in our Band Of Brothers Life Group. I also knew him early on at Trinity at Maplewood Drive. Our prayers are with the family at this time. I will always cherish our friendship.
Earl was a truly great guy and will really be missed. Prayers go out to Mary and all of the family.

I am so sorry hearing of Earls passing. He always was a good person. My fondest memories were growing up near Him, my brothers and I would spend day after day with him and Rob in the woods building cabins and swinging on Grape Vines. Those were truly Golden Times in our lives. God be with You Earl !

Im so sorry to hear about Earl we graduated together. He was the most sweetest, kindest person. You could tell he was a christian in the way he lived and conducted his life. Im sure many souls were saved because of his witness. Praying for his family.

Earl and I worked together at Blacksville #2 . Earl was always friendly and cordial. So sorry to hear of his passing may the Lord be with his family during this time!
