William Elmer Harker, age 78 of Wana, WV passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at West Virginia University Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born March 26, 1941 at Fairmont, WV, a son of the Harry Elmer Harker and Minnie Pearl Merrifield Harker.

He is survived by his two sons, William E. Harker and wife Bethany McCarty-Harker and their daughter Paige Lynn Harker, and Michael Wayne Harker; three brothers, Leonard Harker, Tommy Harker and Ernie Harker; two sisters, the late Martha Hartley and Sally Wright.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Harker was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Harker who died May 17, 2015. Mr. Harker enjoyed doing all kids of wood work and traveling around in his antique cars. He was a member the United States Navy and retired from Blacksville #2 Coal Mine.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Saturday, October 12, 2019, from 2-4:00pm and 6-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, October 13, 2019 beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Rose Saunders officiating. Full Military Rites will be accorded by the United States Navy and the Marion County Veterans Council in the funeral home parking following funeral services. Burial will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. On-line condolences may be left for the family at www.mastersfuneralhomewv.com as well as the funeral home facebook page.
