William Floyd Fleeman, age 84, of Plum Run, Mannington, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at WVU Ruby Hospital. He was born October 31, 1935, at Belmont, Pleasants Co., WV, a son of the late Floyd Fleeman and Maxine Hammett Fleeman.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma Jean Hartzell Fleeman; four children, Phillip William (Bernadette) Fleeman of Plum Run, Tim Lee (Susie) Fleeman of Farmington, Carla Jean (Mark) Talkington of Rachel, and John Darrell (Lisa) Fleeman of Fairmont; 11 grandchildren, Shannon, Justin, Brandon, Jon William, Amy, Jeffery, Miranda, Elisha, Jeffery William, Evan and Robert; 8 great-grandchildren and a special great-granddaughter, Shelly; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Lynn Fleeman, and one sister, Ruby Rose.
William was a certified lay speaker in the United Methodist. He retired as a manager from Southern States Co-Op and had last worked at Thompsons in Worthington. He enjoyed all sports. He loved his grandchildren very much. He also helped the needy in the community.
Family and friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 with funeral services following at 1:00pm with Pastor David Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Parker Cemetery in Plum Run. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Hospital.
